3 Unique Attractions in San Diego

Let it never be said of a San Diego vacation that there’s simply not enough to do. There are plenty of attractions that everyone knows about — the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, the beach, and Balboa Park. But this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to everything San Diego has to offer. If you’re looking for attractions off the beaten path, the area certainly has you covered. Here are a few of our favorite San Diego attractions that might not make the first few pages of a tourism brochure.

Heritage Park Victorian Village

Old Town itself is a fairly popular San Diego attraction. This historic park marks San Diego’s first settlement from 1769. At the time, it was no more than a mission and a fort, so the park gives tourists an interesting glimpse into how far the city has come, as well as delicious margaritas. But that’s not all there is to Old Town. Here you can find Victorian Village, full of elegant, colorful Victorian homes to delight architecture buffs and history buffs alike. This gives visitors a sense of walking through San Diego in the late 19th century. You can even stop in for tea. Read more here…
